Overview

Quality Assurance Specialist will collaborate with the existing QA Manager in building a dedicated team to drive quality improvements and enhance the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Position Purpose

To support the QA Manager to continuously improve the QMS, aligning it with the company’s growth strategy while ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and stakeholder requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Leadership

Collaborate with the QA Manager to establish a high-performing QA team that drives quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and continual enhancement across the company.
Ensure all company policies, procedures, and documentation are followed and regularly updated.

Quality Assurance & Customer Focus

Partner with the QA Manager to ensure quality outcomes that align with the company’s strategic goals.
Act as a resource for WHS, Environmental, Social Accountability, and Quality Assurance standards.
Ensure the company’s quality procedures and policies are effectively implemented and adhered to.

Financial & Operational Efficiency

Support the QA Manager in managing QA-related expenses within budget expectations.
Collaborate on investigating and resolving customer complaints with practical and consultative solutions.
Assist in compliance with purchase approval processes and in providing regular QMS framework reports.

Continuous Improvement

Actively contribute to a proactive, solution-focused culture.
Support the maintenance of QMS certifications and lead responses to emerging quality trends.
Assist in audit activities and implementation of approved improvement initiatives.

Project Management

Contribute to diverse projects and ensure timely delivery in collaboration with the QA Manager and team.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Quality Management Systems.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in QA roles.
  • Certification as a QMS Lead Auditor (preferred).

Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis capabilities.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and 14001 standards.
  • Knowledge of Sedex, Ecovadis, and SMETA audits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and support team development.
