Overview

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services: Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, assist with check-ins, check-outs, and provide information about the hotel and local attractions.
Booking Management: Handle bookings, cancellations, and amendments via online travel agencies (OTA), channel managers, and the property management system (Exely).
Room Allocation: Allocate rooms efficiently and ensure guests’ preferences and requests are accommodated wherever possible.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date guest records, daily reports, and ensure smooth shift handovers.
Guest Correspondence: Respond to guest inquiries and correspondence promptly via email, phone, or other communication platforms.
Collaboration: Work closely with other receptionists and housekeeping staff to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.
Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently, escalating issues when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Previous experience as a receptionist in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with OTAs, channel managers, and property management systems is essential; experience with Exely is highly advantageous.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Sinhala and/or Tamil is a plus.
Customer Service Orientation: Friendly and professional attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.
Organizational Skills: Excellent multitasking and time-management skills to handle bookings, guest inquiries, and other responsibilities efficiently.
Flexibility: Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
