Job description
o to lead the DG operators on day-to-day basis of operation, daily inspection, Maintenance / service activities of generators assigned to the user end in assigned region level
o prepare the necessary daily schedules in report form, to the Supervisor at Regional level.
o Plan and carryout the required daily electrical checklists of each generators along with the operators ,and carryout the required maintenance of electrical checks on engine, alternators ,power cables, control panels on manufacturer recommended time duration ,carryout the daily routine repairs at satellite service levels and recommend the generator repairs which may be shifted to central workshop for top and complete overhauling/re-windings subject to approvals
o Study the generator electrical downtime statistics and reduce the same within a time limit with milestones for that region under the supervision of region supervisor and engineers
o Recommend on time the requirement of electrical spares to the supervisor
o Upkeep the tools and tackles regionwide, required for smooth operation, handling by the downstream and ensure all the required service facility setups, gadgets, Mechanical testing equipment’s are intact and available on 24*7 in that region
o Implement the HSE policies in line with the company policy, and implement the same to protect the men and machines inclusive of safety tools required throughout the assigned region
o Define the strategy policy to achieve zero down time on operational generators, and produce each Kwh power on low cost on assigned region under supervision
Qualifications
Either
Industrial Training Institute certificate in automobile /vehicle repairs /Fitting /Electrical or its equivalent /Lower national diploma or Trade test certificate 1,2 and 3 in vehicle repairs /Generators /electricals
Experience
A Minimum of 3 -4 years as Electrician /Technician in technician role , in operation and maintenance, hands on experience in overhauling /repairs of different make of alternators, control panels ,circuits, ECUs, ECMs starting range from 7 Kva to 2200 Kva capacities
General A Strong technical knowledge in repairs and maintenance of generator alternators of different makes and have hands on experience in alternator overhauling’s/ Re-winding ,trouble shootings in Electrical circuits, ECUs, ECMs, alternators
