Overview
Solar Operations & Maintenance Specialist
To ensure the efficient functioning of our installed solar systems. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about renewable energy, possess strong problem-solving skills, and can work flexibly in an on-call capacity when system issues arise.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on installed solar systems to ensure optimal performance
🔹 Respond to system failures and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
🔹 Coordinate with installation teams and technical staff to resolve operational challenges
🔹 Negotiate with suppliers for procurement of solar components and replacement parts
🔹 Keep up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes in the solar sector
🔹 Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and issue resolutions
🔹 Provide clients with technical support and guidance on system maintenance and usage
Requirements
✔️ Prior experience in solar system maintenance, troubleshooting, or a related field is preferred
✔️ Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems, components, and installation processes
✔️ Ability to work flexible hours, including responding to on-call emergencies
✔️ Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and vendors
✔️ Engineering field degree (preferably Electrical Engineering)
✔️ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
✔️ Self-motivated and able to work independently
✔️ Proficiency in MS Office and technical software related to solar energy monitoring is an advantage
