Overview

Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Oversight:

Oversee transportation schedules to ensure timely deliveries and company operations.
Liaise with departments to ensure vehicles meet operational standards.
Plan and optimize routes for efficiency and fuel cost reduction.
Vehicle Compliance & Maintenance:

Ensure all vehicles are insured, registered, and comply with local regulations.
Monitor performance and address issues proactively.
Coordinate major repairs with authorized service centers.
Maintain safety standards and detailed records (mileage, fuel usage, maintenance history).
Administrative Duties:

Maintain logs of transportation activities (routes, timings, delays).
Provide management reports on vehicle status, costs, and efficiency.
Assist in budgeting for maintenance, repairs, and transport expenses.
Requirements for Ideal Candidate:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transport, Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred): CILT, Lean Six Sigma, CLT, CML, or PMP.
Experience:

Minimum 10 years in fleet/transport management, including 5 years in a managerial role.
FMCG industry experience is advantageous.
Skills:

Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making.
Knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance.
