Vacancy: Accountant (Full-Time)

We are hiring a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support a 5 year contract based infrastructure project funded by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a long-term development initiative while advancing your career in financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

*Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

*Handle monthly payroll, EPF/ETF submissions, and tax documentation.

*Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.

*Manage project accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting in compliance with JICA & local regulations.

*Oversee fund disbursement, expense tracking, and financial audits.

*Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and donor reports.

*Ensure accurate payroll, tax filings, and statutory compliance.

*Collaborate with project teams to optimize financial processes.

*Monitor project expenses and manage financial tracking for contracts.

*Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

*Ensure full compliance with Sri Lankan accounting standards and company policies.

*Maintain strict confidentiality in all financial matters.

 

Requirements:

* Degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance (CA/ACCA/CIMA preferred).
* Proven experience in an accounting role (more than 5 years).
* Experience in foreign contract-based projects is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is a must.
* Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity.

 

Employment Type:

* Full-Time – Monday to Friday ( 9 am – 5.30 pm)
* Based in Colombo / project site office
* Starting Salary: 100,000+ (Negotiable for exceptional candidates)
