Job description
o to lead the entire team on day-to-day basis of operation, daily inspection, Maintenance / service activities of generators assigned to the user end in assigned region level
o Conduct toolbox meetings on daily basis with sectional supervisors and prepare the necessary daily schedules in report form, to the manager -service at country level.
o Plan for the critical and fast-moving spares in advance for that assigned region and seek manager-diesel approvals for upkeeping the inventory and approve the regional supervisors request for the consumption
o Plan for the requirement of fuel, lubricant per quarterly basis and obtain the necessary approval for regional inventory level
o Study the generator downtime statistics and reduce the same within a time limit with milestones for that region
o Prepare the annual capex and Opex for entire operation for that region and submit the same to central manager-service for approval on time
o Upkeep the tools and tackles regionwide, required for smooth operation, handling by the downstream and ensure all the required service facility setups, gadgets, lifting equipment’s, mechanical trucks are intact and available on 24*7 in that region
o Define the HSE policies in line with the company policy, and implement the same to protect the men and machines inclusive of safety tools required throughout the assigned region
o Define the strategy policy to achieve zero down time on operational generators, and produce each Kwh power on low cost on assigned region
o Monitor as part of HSE policies, the procurement, validity of fire safety instruments on time to time
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering /Automobile engineering / Higher National diploma in engineering / Engineers guilt certifications /AMIE or Diploma in mechanical engineering /electrical engineering/automotive engineering with 12 years of minimum experience
Experience
A Minimum of 6-8 years with degree / 12 years with diploma as Mechanical engineer in junior management role, in operation and maintenance, hands on experience in overhauling of different make of Generator engines like CAT, Perkins, Cummins , Kirloskar, John deere ,Kubota ,Doosan etc ,troubleshooting with hands on experience starting range from 7 Kva to 2200 Kva capacities
General
– A Strong leadership quality, men management, expertism in advance planning in engineering, cost control both in operation and maintenance as well in reduced inventory, trouble shooter
