Our client located at Colombo 1 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join their dynamic team.

Objectives of this Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in;  PHP Laravel, AWS, NuXT, coupled with a deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices. As a Senior Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet our business needs.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Architecture and Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance web applications using PHP Laravel, AWS, NuXT, and other relevant technologies.
• Implement best practices for code quality, performance, and security.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for their adoption when appropriate.
• Clean and readable code is important to you: You take to heart that people will spend more time reading your code than you’ll spend writing it.
• You take ownership, have initiative, and are able to work on large projects independently.

Project Management:

• Take ownership of project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritise and plan development efforts.
• Perform code reviews and quality assurance to maintain high standards.
• Documentation and Training.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for code, processes, and system architecture.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members.

Characteristics (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a senior developer or similar role in a software development environment.
• Strong expertise in PHP Laravel, AWS, NuXT, and other modern web development technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make informed technical decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
• A proactive and self-driven approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends.
