We are currently seeking a skilled Lock Fitter/Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in carpentry and electrical works and must be able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
Essence of the Job:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of various types of doors, including electric mortise locks, door furniture, and door closers. The role will require the candidate to be proficient in carpentry works and have a basic understanding of electrical installations. The candidate will be required to maintain our inventory, truck, and tools while reporting daily to management. Additionally, the candidate should be able to work in a safe environment, taking proper precautions to ensure safety measures are in place and utilized. In case of an emergency, the candidate must be available to complete after-hours emergency service calls.
Job Duties:
• Perform carpentry works, including the fitting of electric mortise locks, door furniture, and door closers
• Install various types of doors, including entry doors, interior doors, and sliding doors
• Maintain the inventory, truck, and tools
• Communicate and report daily with management
• Ensure a safe work environment by taking proper precautions and utilizing safety measures
• Complete after-hours emergency service calls when needed
Requirements:
• Ability to travel out of town for periods at a time
• Basic knowledge of electrical installations
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
• Own and be comfortable using various hand tools to perform maintenance and repairs
• Strong problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent customer service skills
