THE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS THAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :
• developing content for facebook, twitter, youtube, blogs.
• Ability to drive traffic to social media sites and measuring engagement
• Graphics/Infographics
• Experience in developing content for blogs and websites
• Competence in MS-office packages
• Competence in Graphics Packages
• Publication quality writing, editing and copy-editing skills in English
• Able to tailor scientific/environmental / development information to
lay and professional audiences
THE SKILLS IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SHALL BE AN ASSET :
• Skills in video editing and web upload
• Search-Engine Optimization
• Visual communication packages such as Adobe CS5 suite, Indesign, or similar.
• Journalism, Social sciences, Humanities, Sciences, relevant Professions
• Competence in Sinhala, Tamil, Dhivehi, French
Ability to work independently and conscientiously in a timely manner with minimal
supervision is necessary. The candidate shall work in a multi-disciplinary and diverse
team environment and must be willing to learn new subjects. This shall be an ideal
opportunity for someone who seeks to develop their craft and career.
The best fit is a person with good interpersonal skills who is adaptable and flexible and can
handle tasks in multiple areas. The motivated individual who is able to fulfill these tasks has
the opportunity to undertake research in areas of scientific computing. The assignment is to

About Federation for Environment, Climate and Technology
The Federation for Environment, Climate, and Technology (FECT) is dedicated to developing usable social scientific, and technological data for societal well-being and environmental preservation. FECT brings together 20 scientists whose activities cover some of the Indian Ocean Islands and its littoral. We began researching and developing of climate and environmental analysis, computation, monitoring, and prediction technologies in Sri Lanka.
