We are pleased to announce the opportunity for a HV and MV Cable Jointers in Ireland with an immediate start. Our client has developed a larger portfolio of work and therefore require Cable Jointers to undertake jointing activities at HV & MV as defined for the purpose of the role. This position is part of the Substation Electrical Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Cable jointing work in connection with the construction, reinforcement, alteration, replacement and repair of electricity distribution network assets up to 110kV.
• Undertake works in line with company values.
• Location and identification of underground cables.
  Test insulation, voltage, phasing, phase rotation and continuity on HV & MV cable.
• Comply with the relevant Health & Safety legislation and protect your own safety as well as the safety of anyone who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
• Assess site risks and remove / minimize / avoid those risks
• Record asset routes, joint positions / plant details etc.
• Carryout network switching operations on HV & MV systems.
• Cooperate with company with regard to Safety Health and Welfare at work.
• Be authorized to receive Permits to Work and explain the safety documentation to any auditor on request.

Experience and Skills

• 3 – 5 years of relevant experience of HV & MV cable jointing.
• Working on networks and associated equipment.
• First Aid.
• Good level of English language, both verbal and written.
• Form completing and audits.
• IT Literacy (MS Office)
• Good communication & interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate evidence of successful team working abilities
• Demonstrate evidence of understanding of H & S legislation and Risk Management Processes
