Job Title: Steward
We are looking for a Steward to join our team at the newly opened Restaurant and Bar at Grand Rovinka Hotel. As a Steward, you will be Responsible for the set-up, maintenance & breakdown of hotel equipment & other guest amenities that are related to the position.
Responsibilities:
– Perform restocking and cleaning duties as instructed, including specific tasks during the opening and closing of the restaurant.
– Manage inventory, handle ordering, and ensure the stocking of pots, pans, utensils and table ware used in the food and beverage operations in a efficient and proper manner.
-Assists with & performs other beverage services, support tasks & guest services.
-Keep track of glassware inventory and promptly communicate any shortages to management.
Additional responsibilities include serving, bussing tables, seating guests, as well as assisting Managers with scheduling, training, ensuring compliance with state laws as well as all operating procedures.
Requirements:
– Previous experience in stewarding preferred
-Some experience with inventory controls and systems, storeroom principles, and procurement processes are preferred
-Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
-Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests management
-Excellent customer service skills
-Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, nights, and weekends
-Attention to detail and ability to work independently
