About Perinatal Society of Sri Lanka
The Perinatal Society originated from a consortium of healthcare professionals dealing with the different components in the field of perinatology; obstetrics, pediatrics, and public health. It first convened in 2001 to specifically address concerns and focus interest in maternal and newborn care.
From its inception, it has partnered with many organizations, such as the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians, Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, College of Community Physicians of Sri Lanka, Family Health Bureau, Ministry of Health, UNICEF, UNFPA and WHO, who have a similar mission and focus.
