**Salary:** Rs. 40,000 – 45,000 + Service Charge

We are seeking a **highly skilled and flexible Chef** to join our small yet growing city hotel, which features a dedicated restaurant. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in restaurants and must be proficient in preparing a variety of cuisines, including **Chinese, Sri Lankan, Italian, and American dishes**. Optional – Experience with **Japanese, Thai, or other international dishes** is a plus but not mandatory.

Our hotel has been operational for two months, and with 11 rooms, we provide a personal and intimate dining experience. We need a chef who is passionate about delivering **high-quality dishes**, maintaining **strict hygiene protocols**, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities:**
– Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, including Chinese, Sri Lankan, Italian (pasta), and American (burgers) cuisine.
– Ensure consistency and perfection in taste, presentation, and portion control.
– Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
– Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking ingredients while minimizing food waste.
– Adapt menus and recipes based on guest preferences and dietary needs.
– Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
– Maintain flexibility to accommodate changing customer demands and special requests.
– Ensure timely preparation and service of all dishes, particularly during peak dining hours.

**Preferred Skills and Qualifications:**
– Proven experience as a Chef, with a strong background in restaurant kitchens.
– Expertise in Chinese, Sri Lankan, Italian, and American cuisines, with the ability to cook these dishes perfectly.
– Knowledge of other cuisines such as Japanese, Thai, or other international dishes is preferred but optional.
– Excellent understanding of kitchen equipment, techniques, and food safety regulations.
– Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Flexibility in terms of working hours, including weekends and holidays.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
