Overview
The Role
We are seeking a highly technical Customer Support Engineer with strong 3rd-line troubleshooting and cloud infrastructure expertise. This is not a simple helpdesk role — you will be working on advanced technical issues, designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and IONOS, while supporting enterprise customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues across our software and hosting environments.
Design, configure, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, IONOS) for production and staging environments.
Troubleshoot advanced application, database, and networking issues.
Manage backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.
Assist with migrations, environment scaling, and security hardening.
Collaborate with the development team on infrastructure changes and product deployments.
Document solutions, processes, and architecture diagrams for internal and customer use.
Proactively monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
Requirements
5+ years’ technical support or systems engineering experience in a software/SaaS environment, with at least 2 years in a 3rd-line capacity.
Proven ability to create, configure, and manage environments in AWS, Azure, and IONOS.
Strong skills in Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, and network configuration.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) desirable.
Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
Clear and confident English communication (written and spoken).
