Overview
Finance & Taxation Executive
The candidates’ responsibilities will be as follows, but not limited to;
· Manage full taxation functions including VAT, APIT, CIT, Estimated Income Tax, tax forecasts, IRD inquiries, and monthly sales reconciliation with customs.
· Handle all QuickBooks accounting tasks: recording invoices, payments, receipts, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and exchange gain/loss computations.
· Prepare monthly financial statements, review stock reports, analyze fixed deposit rates, and support LKR conversion bargaining.
· Manage payments/receipts, maintain accurate bookkeeping, and coordinate annual external audits and final financial statement reviews (LKAS compliant).
· Ensure timely submission of all statutory returns and maintain compliance across all group entities.
· Coordinate with Tax/Audit Advisers.
Candidates’ Essential Criteria;
· Full/Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka or CTA / CIT.
· Minimum 02 years of relevant experience in Finance/Taxation.
· Previous working experience in an audit firm.
· Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 BC.
· Strong practical experience in taxation, including VAT, APIT, CIT & IRD matters.
· Hands-on working experience with QuickBooks.
· Solid understanding of Sri Lankan tax laws and statutory compliance.
· Experience in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and month-end processes.
· Ability to manage company accounts and meet deadlines independently.
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in reporting.
· Good communication and documentation skills.
Candidates’ Non-essential Criteria (Added advantage);
· Residing close to Katunayake.
· Knowledge of ERP.
