You will take ownership of mechanical design strategy on healthcare schemes, ensuring solutions meet clinical requirements, regulatory standards, sustainability targets, and operational performance needs. Key Responsibilities

Lead full mechanical design delivery on large-scale healthcare projects

Translate client briefs into clear engineering strategies and coordinated solutions

Oversee technical work — either hands-on or through a wider project team

Attend key meetings and act as a senior point of contact

Develop initial concepts and ensure alignment with regulations and clinical needs

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability

Monitor fees, resources, and programme performance

Support innovation, improved delivery methods, and continuous improvement

Maintain strong technical standards, QA, and risk management

What You Need

Proven experience delivering mechanical systems within healthcare environments

Strong understanding of HVAC and wider mechanical building services

Experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering setting Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and relevant tools

Strong communication and stakeholder-management ability

Knowledge of British Standards and sector-specific regulations
