We’re Hiring: Sales Lead – A R T Magazine

A R T Magazine is Sri Lanka’s premier tri-monthly publication dedicated to art, architecture, heritage, and cultural tourism. With a curated print circulation, refined editorial voice, and growing international footprint, we engage a highly affluent audience across luxury, culture, and design.

We are looking for a commercially astute, relationship-driven Sales Lead to grow our advertising, sponsorship, and partnership revenue streams.

This role is ideal for someone who understands premium sales, values long-term client relationships, and can confidently represent a cultural brand at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead and drive advertising sales across print, digital, special editions, and branded initiatives.

● Develop and manage long-term relationships with premium clients including luxury brands, hospitality groups, design centres and cultural institutions.

● Identify, pitch, and close sponsorships and partnerships aligned with A R T Magazine’s editorial vision and brand values.

● Strategically grow existing advertiser portfolios while actively sourcing new high-value clients.

● Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, and design teams to create compelling, bespoke proposals.

● Represent A R T Magazine at client meetings, launches, and networking forums.

● Contribute to revenue planning, pricing strategy, and sales forecasts.

● Support the monetisation of new initiatives including events, special issues, digital products, and international collaborations.

Qualifications

Required

● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

● 5+ years of experience in sales, advertising, media sales, or business development, preferably within premium or niche markets.

● Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

● Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.

● Ability to confidently manage senior-level clients and stakeholders.

Preferred

● Experience in luxury, arts, architecture, hospitality, real estate, publishing, or lifestyle sectors.

● Existing network within corporates, luxury brands, or creative industries.

● Understanding of premium brand positioning and value-based selling.

● Experience working with both print and digital advertising products.
