Research & Development Manager

Job Responsibilities
- Drive business development initiatives to expand the Crop Care portfolio in Sri Lanka
- Identify new market opportunities, including products, segments, and distribution channels
- Support product registration, field trials, and localization to meet market needs
- Work closely with distributors and key accounts to strengthen market presence
- Partner with regional teams on product pipeline, positioning, and go-to-market strategies
- Provide technical support to customers while translating market insights into commercial actions
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to support strategic decision-making
- Contribute to product evaluation and development initiatives based on local market needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agrochemicals, biochemistry, or a related discipline
- 8 years of relevant experience in agrochemical manufacturing, trading, or distribution within the agribusiness sector
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or market expansion within crop care/agrochemicals
- Strong understanding of local agricultural practices and regulatory environment in Sri Lanka
- Ability to balance technical knowledge with commercial execution
