Overview

Job Duties:

  • Install, service, maintain, and repair air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Inspect and test HVAC systems to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including compressors, motors, thermostats, filters, and electrical controls.
  • Recharge refrigerants and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3/4, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, or HVAC.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an AC Technician or HVAC Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with refrigerant handling procedures and safety standards.
  • Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driving license is an added advantage.
