Job Title: Food Auditor
Industry: Testing and Inspection
Location: Colombo 02

The Food Auditor will be responsible for conducting food-related audits while ensuring compliance with food industry standards, quality systems, and certification requirements. The role requires knowledge of food safety standards, Quality Assurance practices, and the ability to use web-based systems to support audit activities within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.

Qualifications & Requirements

Degree in Food Science or a related food discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in the food industry.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

Experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry is preferred.

Knowledge of ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC, and HACCP is preferred.

Good IT knowledge and ability to work with web-based systems.

Excellent spoken and written English skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Interest in continuous learning and development in the food sector.

Proactive thinking and dynamic approach.

Creative problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

Conduct food-related audits according to applicable food industry standards and requirements.

Apply knowledge of food safety standards, including ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC, and HACCP during audit activities.

Evaluate Quality Assurance practices and compliance within food industry processes.

Use web-based systems and IT tools to support audit-related activities.

Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders during audit processes.

Apply proactive thinking and creative problem-solving skills to address audit-related challenges.

Maintain continuous learning and development in the food sector.
