Neon Engineering is a growing engineering organization operating from our commercial office hub in Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia. We are currently seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and drive our financial operations forward.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Financial Management: Maintain accurate records of all daily transactions, oversee accounts payable/receivable, and ensure precise general ledger reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Compile and present comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive management evaluation.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Efficiently manage and execute local statutory requirements, including VAT, SSCL, APIT, and Corporate Income Tax filings.
Cash Flow Monitoring: Monitor daily cash inflows and outflows, oversee corporate banking activities, and perform routine bank statement reconciliations.
Audit & Advisory: Maintain robust documentation and collaborate seamlessly with external auditors during annual corporate financial audits.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
Professional Credentials: Fully qualified or actively part-qualified in CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, or CIMA.
Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on corporate accounting or external audit experience.
Software Competency: High proficiency in MS Excel and professional familiarity with cloud-based accounting ecosystems (such as QuickBooks or Xero).
Communication: Strong professional written and verbal communication abilities in English, supplemented by fluency in Sinhala or Tamil.
