Overview

The Federation for Environment, Climate and Technology (FECT) is looking for an Instrument Technician to join their team. Installing, maintaining and repairing scientific instruments are the responsibilities of an experienced electronic / instrumentation technician. Data loggers are used to monitor environmental variability online. Since this position is part of a small team, it shall be tailored to the capabilities of the recruited individual as well as the institutional needs for this and other roles.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Training on principles of instruments.
  • An understanding of the Electronic equipment
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to use relevant tools
  • Ability to manage data files
  • Up-to-date with technology

The Federation for Environment, Climate, and Technology (FECT) is dedicated to developing usable social scientific, and technological data for societal well-being and environmental preservation.  FECT brings together 20 scientists whose activities cover some of the Indian Ocean Islands and its littoral. We began researching and developing of climate and environmental analysis, computation, monitoring, and prediction technologies in Sri Lanka.
