Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our retail industry team in Kirulapone. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, good Excel skills, and the ability to support financial reporting and day-to-day accounting operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably with supervisory exposure.

Professional qualifications such as CIMA, AAT, or similar certifications will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting-related software.

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prepare and clearly explain financial reports to management.

Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Ability to work effectively in a full-time onsite environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and review accurate accounting records and financial transactions.

Assist in preparing monthly and periodic financial reports.

Prepare and analyze financial information for management review.

Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

Perform bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Ensure accounting transactions are properly recorded and supported by relevant documentation.

Monitor expenses and assist in maintaining proper financial controls.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Coordinate with internal departments regarding accounting and financial matters.

Assist with audits and provide required financial documentation.

Supervise and guide junior accounting staff when required.

Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.
