Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, assist in financial reporting, and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounting documentation.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
Process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Prepare financial schedules and documentation required for audits.
Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Generate reports and provide financial information to management when required.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements
Minimum 3–4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Professional accounting qualification (AAT, CA, CIMA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
