Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor changes and developments in local laws, regulations, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the security industry.

Support the development, review, and update of internal policies, procedures, and compliance manuals to ensure alignment with regulations and industry best practices.

Conduct compliance risk assessments/audits.

Liaise with regulatory bodies, licensing authorities, law enforcement, and government agencies, as needed, to manage compliance inquiries.

Coordinate or provide training and awareness sessions to employees and management on compliance, code of conduct etc.

Track and report compliance metrics prepare quarterly/annual compliance status reports to senior management.

Support internal governance functions, e.g. assisting with internal audits, risk management, third-party due diligence.

Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory shifts, and best practices to proactively advise management on compliance enhancements

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Professional qualifications Compliance Management or a related field. At least 2 years of compliance, legal, audit, or regulatory experience (preferably Apparel industry)

Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan & International compliance & Labour law (security regulation, licensing, transport, labour law)

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to interpret regulations and translate into practical procedures

Excellent written and verbal communication in English & Sinhala.

Ability to travel across sites when required
