Job Summary
The Manager Milk procurement plays a vital role responsible for overseeing the acquisition of raw milk from farmers, suppliers, or cooperatives to ensure a steady, high-quality supply for processing. This role involves managing relationships with dairy farmers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and optimizing procurement processes to meet production needs. The manager is also responsible for monitoring market trends, negotiating contracts, managing logistics, and collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless supply chain for dairy production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Milk Sourcing & Supplier Management
Identify and establish relationships with reliable milk suppliers and dairy farmers.
Onboard dairy farmers to increase supply and strengthen the procurement network.
Negotiate agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, quality standards, and consistent supply.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery, product quality, and adherence to contractual terms.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and dairy farmers to foster trust, collaboration, and transparency.
Resolve issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
Work to improve the terms of supply contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for both the company and suppliers.
Procure milk from competitors when necessary to maintain supply levels and meet production demands.
Collaborate with competitors to structure milk sourcing and supply arrangements.

2. Forecasting & Demand Planning
Collaborate with the Production team to forecast milk requirements based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
Ensure the procurement strategy aligns with the company’s production needs and growth plans, adjusting sourcing as needed.
Manage and monitor inventory levels to prevent both surplus and shortage situations.
