Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Racking & Structural Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing warehouse racking systems, mezzanine floors, and related steel structures while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and client specifications. The role involves structural analysis, load calculations, preparation of technical drawings, and coordination with installation teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop warehouse racking systems, mezzanine floors, and steel structures.
Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and stability assessments for storage systems.
Prepare, review, and interpret technical, fabrication, and construction drawings.
Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Coordinate with project teams, clients, and site personnel throughout project execution.
Conduct site visits and provide installation supervision when required.
Support troubleshooting and design modifications during project implementation.
Collaborate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
Qualifications & Requirements
BSc / HNDE / NDT / NDES in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in designing warehouse racking systems and mezzanine floors.
Strong knowledge of structural design principles related to steel structures and storage systems.
Ability to prepare and interpret technical and fabrication drawings.
Familiarity with load calculations and structural stability requirements.
Experience in site coordination and installation supervision.
Knowledge of HVAC systems will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
