Sales Engineer – HVAC & Refrigeration (HVAC & R)

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer – HVAC & Refrigeration to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, promoting HVAC and refrigeration solutions, preparing technical proposals and quotations, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The role requires a sound understanding of HVAC systems, the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and excellent communication skills to provide effective technical and commercial support to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and end-users.
Promote HVAC and refrigeration products and solutions to potential clients.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
Conduct site visits, surveys, and client meetings.
Interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs to provide suitable solutions.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth.
Provide after-sales support and maintain customer satisfaction.
Requirements
BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
3–5 years of experience in the HVAC/MEP industry in Sri Lanka.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including VRF, chillers, AHUs, split systems, and ventilation systems.
Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Familiarity with leading HVAC brands such as Daikin, Carrier, Trane, Mitsubishi, LG, or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills in Sinhala and English (both written and spoken).
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel island-wide.
