Responsibilities of the position:
Conduct market analysis to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitors.
Gather data on customer needs to inform marketing and business development strategies.
Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital marketing.
Target clients who would benefit from freight services.
Develop and implement client acquisition strategies. Present UFS freight value proposition, negotiate contracts, and secure new clients.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Address concerns and foster long-term partnerships.
Create customized proposals and presentations, showcasing the benefits of UFS freight services in enhancing clients’ supply chain operations.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth implementation of new contracts, aligning services with client requirements.
Attend industry events and trade shows to network and stay updated on trends.
Monitor the effectiveness of marketing and business development strategies.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote UFS freight services through digital marketing, social media, and email marketing.
Experience:
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in marketing, business development, or sales roles, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry. Experience specifically in the freight sector is highly desirable.
Qualifications & Skills:
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, logistics, or a related field. A master’s degree in a relevant field can be an added advantage.
Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and transportation.
Proven experience in lead generation, client acquisition, and business development with strong negotiation and networking skills.
Knowledge of the logistics and freight industry, including trends and market dynamics.
Ability to address client needs with tailored solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and
collaborating with stakeholders.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and lead initiatives for seamless contract execution.
