Overview

Key Duties & Responsibilities

·       Manage overall dry bulk vessel operations at ports.

·       Coordinate vessel berthing, discharge, and cargo delivery operations.

·       Supervise stevedoring, draft surveys, cargo outturn, and quantity reconciliation.

·       Manage lighterage operations and monitor barge performance.

·       Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and cargo dispatch.

·       Verify cargo receipts, stock reconciliation, and warehouse balances.

·       Coordinate with Owners, Charterers, Port Authorities, Shipping Agents, Surveyors, Stevedores, and Transport Contractors.

·       Monitor vessel productivity and minimize port stay, delays, and demurrage exposure.

·       Verify Statements of Facts (SOF), Time Sheets, Notice of Readiness (NOR), and laytime calculations.

·       Review discharge reports, survey reports, and operational documentation.

·       Ensure compliance with Charter Party terms, port regulations, and HSE requirements.

·       Prepare daily operational reports and provide timely updates to management.

·       Resolve operational issues to ensure safe and efficient cargo handling.

·       Optimize logistics performance and ensure timely completion of cargo operations.

·       Perform any other shipping and logistics duties assigned by management.
