Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to oversee and manage the logistics operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and a proven track record of optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and supply chain processes.
Develop and implement strategies to streamline logistics operations and improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to logistics and transportation.
Lead and manage the logistics team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and logistics service providers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels, orders, and deliveries.
Manage transportation operations, including route planning, scheduling, and tracking of shipments.
Optimize transportation costs while ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Develop and manage the logistics budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
Utilize logistics software and technology to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related role.
Proven experience in managing logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
