Role Overview

We are looking for a trustworthy, results-driven Shop Manager to oversee our premium gem and jewelry boutique. You will be responsible for maximizing sales, leading our retail team, managing luxury inventory, and delivering an elite shopping experience to our clients.

 

Communication:

1. Fluency in English and Sinhala; Tamil or foreign languages are highly advantageous for tourist Customers

2. Knowledge of gemology or precious metals.

3. A presentable, professional personality with strong communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth: Achieve monthly sales targets and develop strategies to attract high-net-worth clients.
Team Management: Supervise, schedule, and train sales staff in jewelry storytelling and luxury customer service.
Stock & Security: Manage high-value inventory, oversee daily stock counts, and strictly enforce security protocols.
Client Relations: Build long-term relationships with VIP customers and handle custom/bespoke jewelry orders.

Visual Merchandising: Ensure window and counter displays are immaculate, secure, and visually stunning.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of retail management experience specifically within fine jewelry, diamonds, or colored gemstones.
Product Knowledge: Solid understanding of precious metals, diamond grading, and colored gemstones (GIA, FGA, or relative certifications are highly preferred).
Skills: Excellent communication, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in retail POS and inventory software.
Attributes: Impeccable professional grooming, high integrity, and strong leadership capabilities.
