Overview
Our client is looking for a motivated Purchasing Assistant to support their procurement and supply chain operations. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced candidates and freshers looking to start their career in purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect vendor forms and support supplier onboarding
• Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and arrange deliveries
• Review and process purchase requests
• Follow up on shortages and urgent purchase requirements
• Track supplier balances and assist with general procurement tasks
Requirements
• Basic understanding of purchasing or supply chain processes
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
• Must possess a motorbike and a valid bike license
• Freshers are encouraged to apply
• Candidates from Panadura and nearby areas are preferred
