Job Description – Internal Verifier (IV) / Internal Quality Assurer (IQA)
Location: Remote
Organization: NIT London – Northernhamshire Ilexford Tessor (NIT) College London

Role Summary
The IV/IQA is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and compliance of assessment decisions across programs delivered under ATHE and other UK awarding bodies. The role supports academic standards by monitoring assessment practices and maintaining internal quality assurance systems.

Key Responsibilities
Internally verify assessment decisions to ensure fairness, validity, and consistency
Sample learner work and maintain IV sampling plans and reports
Review and approve assignment briefs before release
Provide feedback and guidance to assessors/tutors
Conduct standardization meetings to align assessment practices
Maintain accurate documentation for audit and compliance
Support External Quality Assurer (EQA) visits and implement action plans
Ensure adherence to awarding body and internal QA policies

Requirements
Relevant degree (Business, IT, or related field)
Experience in assessing qualifications from Pearson (BTEC), ATHE, Qualifi or similar
Understanding of UK RQF and assignment-based assessment
IQA (Level 4) and/or Assessor qualification (CAVA) preferred
