🔹 About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer / Application Support Engineer with hands-on experience in NAVIS SPARCS N4 (Terminal Operating System – TOS) to support container terminal operations in Qatar.

The successful candidate will provide first-level application and technical support, troubleshoot system issues, and coordinate with terminal Operations, QatarEnergy, and the NAVIS technical support team to ensure reliable and uninterrupted terminal operations.

 

🔹 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level IT and application support for NAVIS SPARCS N4.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, software, and operational system issues.
  • Support daily container terminal operations and maintain system availability.
  • Coordinate with Operations, QatarEnergy, and NAVIS technical support teams.
  • Monitor, document, escalate, and follow up on system incidents.
  • Support system integrations and communicate technical issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Minimize downtime and help ensure business continuity.

🔹 Mandatory Requirements

✅ Minimum 5 years of experience in container terminal operations or terminal IT systems.
✅ At least 3 years of experience in a similar IT Support or Application Support role.
✅ Hands-on experience with NAVIS SPARCS N4 TOS.
✅ Practical experience troubleshooting systems in a live container terminal environment.
✅ Good understanding of vessel, yard, gate, and other container terminal workflows.
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
✅ Strong troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills.

 

🔹 Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting mission-critical terminal applications.
  • Knowledge of databases, application troubleshooting, and system integrations.
  • Experience coordinating with software vendors and external technical support teams.⚠️ Important: Practical NAVIS SPARCS N4 experience and previous container terminal experience are essential. Candidates with general IT support or software development experience alone may not meet the requirements.
