Overview

Foreign owned Electronic / Engineering Company manufacturing Fibre Optic / Copper cable systems and precision components for export, requires a Quality Assurance Manager

The candidates’ responsibilities will be as follows, but not limited to;

·       Leading implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 9001:2015

·       Compiling the Quality Manual.

·       Developing and maintaining the process maps, SOPs, and Wis.

·       Define, monitor, and analyze KPIs aligned with business objectives.

·       Overlooking the smooth functioning of the QC department.

·       Ensuring incoming material, in-line and FG QC is carried out in compliance.

·       Approving/creating FAIs in coordination with Engineers.

·       Handling customer complaints and maintaining NCRs.

·       Conduct weekly QA briefings with entire factory.

·       Ensuring all departments conform to standards set on Quality Manual.

Candidates’ Essential Criteria;

·       Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Mechatronics/ Manufacturing Engineering Degree

·       At least 2 Years working in the same role.

·       At least 5 Years of Experience working with similar responsibilities.

·       Knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

·       Experience in conducting internal ISO 9000 audits.

·       The enthusiasm to stay organised while creating and working with a plan.

Candidates’ Non-essential Criteria (Added advantage);

·       A Diploma in Quality Management or similar.

·       Fibre optics related modules in the degree program.

·       Exposure to cable harness assembly.

·       Knowledge in IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard.

·       Knowledge in Lean manufacturing, TQM, 5S, six sigma.

·       Experience in using Microsoft 365 Business Central or similar ERP system.

The post requires an energetic individual that has a mind for creativity with great attention to detail and a constant strive for excellence. Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala is absolutely essential.

The candidate will report to the Director – Business Development.
