Foreign owned Electronic / Engineering Company manufacturing Fibre Optic / Copper cable systems and precision components for export, requires a

Engineer – Production (Wire Harnesses)
The candidates’ responsibilities will be as follows, but not limited to;

·       Reading engineering and cable harness drawings.

·       Knowledge of standards associated to wire harness. (IPC/WHMA-A-620)

·       Creating BOMs, Sourcing of materials and sending out RFQs.

·       Sourcing correct tools & equipment for production.

·       Creation of Quotations and product costings.

·       Responsible for assigned project Work Procedures.

·       Creation of new Procedures and revision of existing Procedures.

·       Maintaining project folders.

·       Monitoring assigned projects from Quotation to Delivery.

·       Ensuring production is compliant with technical and QA requirements.

Candidates’ Essential Criteria;

·       Qualified Electronic / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering Degree.

·       Prior experience in working with Wire harnesses.

·       Capable of fluently speaking and writing in English.

·       Capable of efficiently using Microsoft Excel for the purpose of costings.

·       Use of an ERP system or similar software should be second nature.

·       The ability to grasp situations quickly in order to find solutions.

·       The enthusiasm to stay organised, read around the subject while creating and working with a plan.

·       At least 3 Years of Experience working with similar responsibilities.

 

The candidate must be dedicated to meeting strict deadlines that may occasionally call for extended working hours.

 

Candidates’ Non-essential Criteria (Added advantage);

·       Experience in a Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 work environment.

·       Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

 

Necessary initial guidance will be given, after which the candidate should have the ability to attend to projects independently and responsibly.

 

The candidate will report to the Director – Business Development.
