Overview

We’re looking for motivated accounting professionals to join our growing team supporting UK and Canadian clients with accounting, VAT/tax, and finance back-office work. This is a fully remote role offering international exposure and the flexibility to work with clients across multiple jurisdictions.

What you’ll do

• Bookkeeping and bank and balance-sheet reconciliations
• Accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payment tracking, and month-end support
• UK VAT return preparation and filing support
• GST/HST and Canadian accounting support as required
• Preparing schedules and reports, and managing client follow-ups
• Maintaining accurate general ledgers and posting journal entries
• Processing employee expenses and supplier payment runs
• Assisting with quarter-end and year-end close and supporting external accountants or auditors
• Preparing management reports, cash-flow summaries, and aged debtor/creditor analyses
• Reconciling intercompany and multi-currency transactions for overseas clients
• Maintaining organized digital records and ensuring compliance with client deadlines
• Communicating directly with clients to resolve queries and request supporting documentation

What we’re looking for

• 2–3 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally with international clients
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
• Strong Excel skills, a sharp eye for accuracy, and clear written and spoken English
• Exposure to UK VAT, Canadian GST/HST, or overseas-client accounting (preferred)
• A self-driven, organized professional comfortable working remotely with flexible hours when needed
