Role Description The Team Leader role at AIA Sri Lanka is a full-time, on-site position based in Kadawatha. The Team Leader is responsible for recruit new candidates, guiding and supervising a team of insurance advisors or sales representatives, setting clear performance targets, and monitoring progress toward sales and service objectives. Day-to-day activities include coaching team members, conducting regular performance reviews, organizing training sessions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The role involves supporting the team in developing customer relationships, handling escalated client inquiries, and promoting AIA’s life and health insurance solutions. The Team Leader will collaborate with branch and regional leadership to implement sales strategies, improve customer experience, and contribute to overall business growth.
Qualifications
Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse team members.
Proven experience in preferably within insurance industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with customers and colleagues.
Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including experience in target setting, performance tracking, and reporting.
Comfort with basic digital tools and CRM systems, and the ability to learn company platforms and processes quickly.
Knowledge of life and health insurance products, or a strong willingness to learn and obtain relevant industry certifications.
Ability to work on-site in Kadawatha and adapt to a dynamic, goal-oriented environment while upholding ethical and customer-centric standards.
