Job description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and intermittently improving our current network configuration and infrastructure. You will design our revamped network infrastructure with the goal of maximizing our network performance. You will also provide troubleshooting and configuration support by using your strong technical skills in Linux and Windows environments and IP networking.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP), System Integrator, or Enterprise IT environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in network infrastructure support.
Current CCNP certification or equivalent networking certification.
Additional certifications in Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, Aruba, or Cisco technologies are desirable.
Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewall, wireless, and VPN technologies.
Experience supporting networking solutions from vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Aruba, HP, and Palo Alto.
Hands-on experience with Fortinet products including FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiClient EMS, and FortiSASE.
Good understanding of ITIL processes and service management practices.
Basic Linux/Unix administration experience is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 network support for customer environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, service requests, and escalations.
Support routing, switching, firewall, wireless, and VPN infrastructure.
Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities following ITIL processes.
Monitor network performance and respond to alerts and service disruptions.
Perform regular maintenance, firmware upgrades, patching, and health checks.
Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure and security solutions.
Create and update technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Work closely with internal teams to improve monitoring and service delivery.
Attend customer meetings and provide technical recommendations when required.
Assist with infrastructure projects, migrations, and technology upgrades.
Participate in an after-hours on-call roster for critical support requirements.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and service desk teams.
